Any Suggestions?

Thu Mar 26, 2009, 7:26 PM
So, although I love my Kodak DX7630 to death, and have been using it for close to five years now, I finally decided to move on to another camera, as this one is getting outdated and undoubtedly tired. My problem is I'm not sure what to get. I'm looking for something with a minimum of 10 megapixels, and a decent amount of optical zoom. Of course other features would be nice too! That, and a camera around $250. I'm not entirely sure what to get though, so if someone had an opinion they'd like to share, I'd be eternally grateful! :D I was looking at the Kodak Z1012 IS, which has 10 megapixels and 12X optical zoom, as well as the price of around $250, which met my requirements, but if anyone has a better suggestion, I'd love to hear it! I'm really no expert in this, so any opinion would be great!

Thanks!,
James Miller

A photographer from Maine who enjoys taking pictures of battlefields and other historic locations around the U.S. I also enjoy taking pictures of nature as well, especially the vast amounts of it here in Maine. Hopes to be able to travel more of the U.S as well as the world for even more photographic opportunities. I do a little drawing as well, but for the most part stick to what I do best, photography.
